AB Villa Rentals specialises in exclusive holiday rentals in Portugal with a personalised booking experience. The properties listed are all quite unique and recommended for very special reasons: location, charm, style or standard of service.
Managed by Mandy Azevedo Coutinho Reynolds and her small team, AB Villa Rentals was established when she relocated from London to Lisbon in 2003.
Mandy has dual Portuguese and British nationality, years of leisure travel experience and has combined it with a Portuguese love of life and all things good, to offer taylor-made villa holidays in Portugal. For 25 years before setting up AB Villa Rentals, she worked for a number of renowned international real estate companies, luxury tour operators and villa rental companies covering Southern Europe, including CV Villas (ex CV Travel) and Abercrombie & Kent Villas.
The name AB or Almond Blossom Villa Rentals, pays homage to the spectacular vistas that grace both the north and south of Portugal in late winter and early spring. Almond trees were originally planted during the Moorish occupation and when they flourish, they cover the horizon with a pink tinted snow-like mantle and fill the air with a sweet fragrance.
Portugal has much to offer as a holiday destination: an amenable climate, golden sandy beaches swept clean by Atlantic tides, pretty countryside landscapes of vineyards and wild flowers, almond, orange, olive and cork trees, sleepy villages and buzzing cities. The country also has a rich sea faring and historic past – topping the must-visit list are the extraordinarily beautiful islands of the Azores archipelago and the World Heritage Sites of Évora and Elvas in the Alentejo, Sintra on the Lisbon Coast, and the stunning Douro Valley. A wide range of leisure sports from surfing to golf rate highly with our visitors; and then there is the delicious gastronomy and value for money wines, as well as the extremely friendly Portuguese people.
Our exclusive selection of holiday rentals stretches from the north to the south of Portugal and includes the Azores Archipelago, the Douro Valley, the Lisbon Coast, Comporta and the Alentejo, as well as the Algarve Coast, with many located near beaches and golf courses.
Even if you only have one week’s holiday, some of our properties will accept a short stay at reasonable prices outside the high season, enabling you to split your visit and explore different parts of Portugal… The international airports of Porto (north), Lisbon and Faro (Algarve) on the mainland, can be reached between 2-2 ½ hours flying time from most of Europe’s main cities; whilst Seville airport in neighbouring Spain, is a good alternative and within easy reach of our Algarve rentals. The Azores Archipelago has international flight connections from São Miguel Island.
