This exceptionally elegant townhouse located in the historic heart of Olhão, is built around a central courtyard and spread over 3 levels, with a rooftop swimming pool which can be heated, as well as various terraces from where you can enjoy skyline vistas over the surrounding town, all the way to the Ria Formosa estuary and only 15 minutes away from Faro airport with its wide range of airline connections.

Ideal for a unique event or for simply enjoying total relaxation, at Olhão Townhouse guests are able to choose from several add-ons to the rental, ranging from wellness treatments to the services of a chef or a totally bespoke programme, with a dedicated house manager to help ensure that all runs smoothly. There is also a meditation sanctuary room, a games room with a pool table, and a yoga deck with equipment provided.

Recently refurbished using local craftsmen and artisans to keep within the traditional architectural style yet offering contemporary design and comfort, the Olhão Townhouse has thick walls, tiled or wooden floors, vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans, all of which make the summer heat manageable. Two tower suites on 2 levels and each benefitting from private terraces, are more suited for those who don’t mind a few steps.

We recommend that guests booking 5 nights aim to arrive Wednesday or Thursday as flights are cheaper midweek and you can then enjoy the Saturday waterfront market!

WARNING NOTES: This property is not suitable for people with mobility issues or children under the age of 8 years old; however, one baby (not yet walking) can be accommodated. In aid of a total switch-off stay, there are no televisions in the property and guests are asked not to use phones or laptops on the terraces and common areas.

  • There are a host of activities to do during your stay in Olhão, such as paddle boarding, a bike tour, horse riding, olive oil tasting, digging for Ria Formosa clams & dolphin watching amongst others, paid directly to suppliers
  • The property owners are also happy to give restaurant suggestions or introductions to chefs, paid directly to suppliers
  • Airport transfers, paid locally
  • Out & About in Olhão: The streets of Olhão are narrow & parking, although free can be limited, so we recommend you book only the smallest car hire type or arrange for an airport transfer then walk everywhere; getting lost in the twisted network of cobbled streets in Olhão is part of the fun! The waterfront is a mere 5-minute walk away from the Townhouse and there are 2 fabulous markets at the water’s edge (fish to the right, fresh fruit/veg & meats to the left) as well as a host of restaurants, cafes and bars
  • Beaches: the islands of Armona, Culatra, Farol and Deserta are easy to get to – you can either take a small ferry which runs multiple times per day during the summer or a river taxi.  They all go from the same place, just 150m east along the waterfront from the market
  • Faro Airport: 15 mins drive away
  • Seville, Spain: 2 hours drive away

2025 RENTAL PRICES IN EUROS

On Request from €2,250 p/night + local tourist tax

  • Minimum 5 nights stay throughout the year except of  Christmas/N Year when 7 nights apply
  • Tourist Tax for all guests over 16 years of age, paid in advance: Winter between 1 November – 30 April @ €1 p/person p/day (up to 5 days) or €5 p/stay; Summer between 1 March – 31 October @ €2 p/person p/day (up to 5 days) or €10 p/stay
  • Check-in between 16:00 – 18:00 hours; check-out by 11:00 hours
  • The property owners will discuss any requirements with guests before confirmation of rental and ensure that guests and the property will suit each other; an app is available once you have confirmed your booking to aid you plan your visit + exclusive Olhão note book handed to each guest on arrival
  • No children under the age of 8 accepted, although one baby (not yet walking) can be accommodated
  • No parties for more than capacity paid for; no hen/stag parties accepted & due to the location of the property are are also restrictions on music being played after 10 pm; no pets & strictly non-smoking property (penalty equal to security deposit)
  • Extra services on request, are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance especially in high season
  • Non-refundable deposit of 25% required to reserve the property if your booking is more than 12 months in advance; this increases to 50% due 9 months prior to arrival at the property
  • Rental balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival at the property, not refundable after this date
  • Security deposit of 20% of the total rent (dependant on the event), to be paid in advance of rental – this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
  • Different terms will apply to weddings & special events – on request
