This stunning modern villa sits on a high plateau with unobstructed 180º views over ancient cork oak and olive trees and is surrounded by 9 hectares of pristine private grounds, near the Alentejo coast. It’s an ideal holiday rental for those wanting to get away from it all and unwind.

The Glass House was designed for spending time relaxing between the infinity pool terrace and the very spacious open plan living/dining room, whilst enjoying the natural landscape around it.  Masses of natural light pour in through floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and minimalist interiors seamlessly merge with outdoor living areas, resulting in a fluidity that creates a delightful space for family and friends to gather. The villa has 5 bedrooms, one of which with 4 bunks beds which children will take delight in sleeping in.

Your days will be filled with bird song from sunrise onwards, but the real magic happens once the sun starts to drop over the horizon – the Alentejo’s golden sunsets are legendary as are the star-studded night skies. The Costa Vicentina Natural Park nearby also features some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal as well as many kms of scenic trails to explore, winding through this beautiful part of European coastline.  You can find out more about the trails here (https://rotavicentina.com/en/).

The small town of Santiago do Cacém is only a short drive away and offers good amenities including restaurants and a fresh fish/vegetable market. The nearest beach is 30 minutes away and the quaint nearby villages of Melides and Porto Covo on the coast, are well worth a visit.

Warning Notes: Access to the property is via a short unpaved road (approx. 1.5 kms). There are some drops from the pool area onto a lower level, young children need to be supervised.

  • Underfloor heating system throughout the whole house & air conditioning in all bedrooms as well as in the main living area, keep the property comfortable all year round; extra ceiling fan in the living/dining room

GENERAL BOOKING & CANCELLATION TERMS

  • Minimum stay of 3 nights applies between October-March; minimum stay of 4 nights applies between April – June, September & Christmas (20 Dec 2025 – 4 Jan 2026); minimum stay of 6 nights applies in July & August; flexible change overs
  • Check-in after 16:00 hours & check-out before 10:00 hours
  • No parties for more than full capacity, no pets & strictly no smoking indoors (penalty equal to security deposit)
  • Extra services are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance especially in high season; no credit cards accepted locally, only cash
  • Non-refundable rental deposit of 30% required to reserve the property
  • Rental balance due 6 weeks prior to start date of rental, not refundable after this date
  • Security deposit of €1,500 to be paid in advance of rental - this amount minus any applicable charges is refundable at the end of the holiday
